Dominic Cummings, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Chief Adviser, has left his job. He was seen leaving 10 Downing Street late on Friday afternoon. Cummings had a “confrontational style”, said former Brexit Secretary David Davis, and turned a lot of people against himself. The exit is seen to give a chance to ‘reset the government’.

Welsh GCSEs and A Levels for 2021 are cancelled

Welsh Education Secretary Kirsty Williams announced that the 2021 GCSE and A Level exams would be cancelled, in favour of centre assessed grades (CAGs) used for the 2020 A Levels and GCSEs. This is to ensure consistency considering the disruption to classroom teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic.
